You have 4+ years of backend or infrastructure experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in building and maintaining production systems. What you'll do

As a Backend Software Engineer on the Driver Validation team, you will help build and evolve mission-critical horizontal infrastructure and tooling that underpins all commercialization systems. Your role will involve collaborating with other engineering teams to develop systems that integrate seamlessly with the Waymo Driver, mobile applications, and cloud backends. You will tackle cross-cutting problems that require innovative solutions and a deep understanding of both technical and functional requirements.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust backend systems that support the scalability and reliability of Waymo's ride-hailing services. This includes optimizing existing systems and developing new features that enhance the overall user experience.
