ContentfulCopywriter

Overview

Amazon is hiring an Editor I for their Books team to manage and curate AI-generated content. You'll work closely with a team to ensure high-quality editorial standards. This role requires experience in content creation and editing.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field, and possess proven editing skills that allow you to deliver high-quality narrative content. Your experience in content creation or copy editing, particularly in online publishing, has equipped you with the ability to handle large-scale content projects effectively. You are adept at time management and possess strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate efficiently with team members and stakeholders. You bring a critical eye to the editorial process, ensuring that all content is relevant, easy to consume, and aligned with the company's style. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable reviewing and creating book content while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable

Experience with research and investigation skills is a plus, as is the ability to deal effectively with customers during problem resolution. You should be capable of operating efficiently under pressure and have a track record of driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for curating and editing content generated through AI for the Amazon Books organization. You will review standard operating procedures (SOP) and onboard new projects, ensuring that all content meets the editorial standards set by the team. You will train a team of editors, continuously auditing their work and providing constructive feedback for improvement. Your role will involve diving deep into new audits and providing valid inferences to enhance the quality of the content. You will also share detailed insights with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on project goals. Your ability to manage projects from start to finish will be crucial, as you will need to understand trade-offs, mitigate risks, and measure the impact of the content you oversee.

What we offer

At Amazon, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of editors and managers in a collaborative environment. We value diversity and encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. You will be part of a mission-driven organization that aims to deliver the best results for our customers, and we are committed to providing a supportive workplace where you can thrive.
