Overview

Xometry is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to improve quality metrics and lead supplier quality initiatives. You'll work closely with internal departments and suppliers to ensure high-quality products. This role requires strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.

Who you are

You have a strong background in quality assurance and supplier management, with experience in conducting audits and inspections. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to identify and address quality issues effectively. You thrive in environments that require continuous improvement and are comfortable working with various stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams.

You understand the importance of quality metrics and are committed to achieving high standards in product quality. Your experience in managing Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) demonstrates your ability to lead initiatives that enhance supplier performance. You are detail-oriented and can navigate complex quality assurance processes with ease.

Desirable

Experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC, Sheet Metal, Additive, and Injection Molding is a plus. Familiarity with quality management systems and tools will help you excel in this role. You are adaptable and can handle ambiguity, creating standard processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness.

What you'll do

In this role, you will perform onsite physical and paperwork inspections at partner facilities, ensuring compliance with quality standards. You will conduct partner audits and onboarding activities, playing a crucial role in establishing strong relationships with suppliers. Your responsibilities will include initiating and managing partner product CAPAs, addressing emerging quality issues, and developing actions based on systemic RMA trends.

You will collaborate with various internal departments, including DFM Engineering, Quality, and Partner Management, to support the overall quality assurance process. Your ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners will be essential in driving quality improvements.

You will continuously monitor quality metrics and work proactively to identify and resolve issues before they escalate. Your role will involve leading quality-centric activities from concept to full-rate production, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards.
