Protegrity is seeking a Software Engineer QA to enhance data protection solutions using advanced cryptographic methods. You'll work with Java, Python, and Selenium to ensure the quality of our innovative products. This role requires experience in software testing and a strong understanding of data security principles.
You have a solid background in software engineering with a focus on quality assurance — your experience includes developing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and ensuring the reliability of software products. You are proficient in programming languages such as Java and Python, which you use to automate testing processes and improve efficiency. Your familiarity with testing frameworks like Selenium allows you to create robust automated tests that enhance product quality.
You understand the importance of data security and have a keen interest in cryptographic methods — your knowledge of REST APIs and SQL enables you to effectively test data protection solutions across various environments. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to identify potential issues before they impact users. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with product engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
Experience with cloud-native and hybrid environments is a plus, as is familiarity with tokenization and format-preserving encryption techniques. You are eager to learn about quantum-resistant cryptography and its applications in data protection. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will help bridge gaps and ensure that quality standards are met.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test strategies that ensure the quality of Protegrity's data protection products. You will collaborate with the Product Engineering team to understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans. Your day-to-day tasks will include writing automated tests, performing manual testing, and analyzing test results to identify areas for improvement.
You will also participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers to enhance code quality and maintainability. Your expertise in testing methodologies will help shape the testing process, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality before release. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions that enhance user experience.
