Schonfeld is offering a 2026 Software Engineering Summer Intern position where you'll work alongside experienced engineers on high-profile projects. This role requires knowledge of Java and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

While not required, any prior experience with software development projects, whether through coursework or personal projects, will be beneficial. Familiarity with cloud-based services and data management concepts will also enhance your ability to contribute effectively during your internship.
During your ten-week internship at Schonfeld, you will be immersed in the culture and atmosphere of the firm, working closely with talented professionals on various technology teams. You may be assigned to the Accounting and Valuation Technology team, where you will help maintain the shadow accounting book of records and support the corresponding data warehouse. Alternatively, you could join the Global Operations Technology team, contributing to the platform that serves as the golden data source for post-trade operational data. You might also work with the Treasury Technology team, assisting in the development of advanced systems for securities lending and collateral management.
You will participate in the Agile framework, collaborating with your team to design, develop, deploy, and support existing applications as well as new features and platforms. Your responsibilities will include writing code, debugging issues, and contributing to the overall improvement of the platform capabilities. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, gaining insights into best practices in software development and project management.
Throughout your internship, you will engage in hands-on learning experiences, allowing you to apply your knowledge in real-world scenarios. You will also have the chance to participate in team meetings, contribute to discussions, and receive mentorship from seasoned professionals in the field.

The annual base pay for this internship is expected to be between $125,000 and $155,000, prorated based on your internship start and end date.
