Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in supply chain management, particularly in the technology or automotive sectors, with at least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management. You are proactive and can work independently, driving strategy and ensuring continuity of supply for critical components. Your ability to manage complex supplier relationships is complemented by your strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You possess a deep understanding of the supply chain processes and have experience in managing the sourcing of high-tech components, particularly in the context of advanced technologies such as Lidar systems. Your analytical skills enable you to assess supplier performance and make data-driven decisions that align with the company's strategic goals. You are comfortable navigating the challenges of a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on long-term objectives.

Desirable

Experience in the automotive or robotics industries is a plus, as is familiarity with Lidar technology and its applications. You are knowledgeable about market trends and can leverage this insight to inform sourcing strategies. A background in engineering or a related field would be beneficial, as it allows you to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand the requirements of the products you are sourcing.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the strategic sourcing process for critical components used in Aeva's advanced Lidar systems. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure a reliable supply of high-quality components while optimizing costs. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to align sourcing strategies with product development timelines and production goals. This will involve participating in cross-functional meetings to provide insights on supplier capabilities and lead times, ensuring that all teams are informed and aligned on sourcing decisions.

Additionally, you will monitor industry trends and market conditions to anticipate changes that may impact supply chain operations. Your ability to analyze data and generate reports will be crucial in making informed decisions and presenting findings to senior management. You will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, addressing any issues that arise, and fostering a collaborative partnership that supports Aeva's mission.

What we offer

You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the field of autonomous systems and contribute to projects that have a significant impact on the future of transportation and robotics. We value our employees and provide opportunities for professional growth and development, ensuring that you have the resources and support needed to succeed in your role.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement. Aeva is committed to building a diverse team and fostering an inclusive workplace where all voices are heard and valued. Join us in transforming autonomy and making a difference in the world.
