DoorDash USA is hiring a Full-time Line Cook to prepare meals and maintain kitchen standards in a shared kitchen environment. This role requires at least 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
You have at least 1 year of experience as a dishwasher, prep cook, or line cook in a high-volume kitchen environment, including fast-casual, QSR, and from-scratch restaurants. You love to work on a team and contribute to team culture, believing that no project is too big or small. You are cuisine-curious and enjoy cooking across multiple culinary concepts, and you are excited about working in new restaurant models, including delivery-only environments.
In this role, you will prepare meals and uphold the high standards of our merchant partners and brands while maintaining a clean kitchen area. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and distributing cookware throughout your shift, setting an example for keeping the kitchen spotless. You will receive and organize inventory, supporting other cooks and kitchen managers with daily food prep and projects. Additionally, you will help maintain general kitchen pars, report shortages, and inform the manager when items need to be reordered. You will ensure compliance with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage, as well as cleaning and sanitizing cooking surfaces at the end of your shift.
