Formlabs is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to improve manufacturing lines and collaborate with contract manufacturers. You'll leverage your engineering experience to enhance production efficiency. This role requires 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, demonstrating a strong background in improving production processes and working with contract manufacturers. Your proactive problem-solving skills have enabled you to successfully bring electro-mechanical products to market on time and within budget. You possess a Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, which has equipped you with the technical knowledge necessary for this role. Your experience evaluating production line performance metrics allows you to identify areas for improvement effectively.

You thrive in collaborative environments, communicating effectively with design engineers to ensure that design changes are adopted seamlessly. Your hands-on approach to engineering and manufacturing makes you a valuable asset to any team, as you are not afraid to dive into the details to drive improvements.

Desirable

Experience working with overseas contract manufacturers or suppliers is a plus, as it enhances your ability to manage and improve outputs from diverse teams. Familiarity with 3D printing technology and its applications in various industries will further strengthen your candidacy, as Formlabs is at the forefront of innovation in this field.

What you'll do

In your role as a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Formlabs, you will be responsible for improving existing manufacturing lines to accommodate growing volumes. This includes establishing in-line or intermediate checks to catch failures earlier in the process. You will design and analyze production lines, building processes and metrics around them to ensure continuous improvement. Your collaboration with contract manufacturers will be crucial as you work together to enhance their output and efficiency.

You will communicate regularly with design engineers to ensure that any necessary design changes are adopted effectively, facilitating a smooth transition from design to production. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you evaluate production line performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement that will help drive the company's growth.
