Clever is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team to build and evolve their internal developer platform. You'll work with technologies like Java and AWS to enhance developer workflows. This role requires significant experience in software engineering and infrastructure management.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining infrastructure systems that support scalable applications. Your background includes a strong understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS, and you are comfortable with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. You have a proven track record of acting as a technical lead on medium to large projects, guiding teams through complex technical challenges while ensuring best practices are followed.
You are adept at creating self-service workflows that empower engineering teams to deploy and manage applications efficiently. Your experience includes defining and maintaining standards and templates that enhance reliability, security, and compliance across the organization. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify friction points and improve operational effectiveness.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are passionate about enhancing the developer experience. You understand the importance of automation in workflows and are committed to continuously improving processes to help teams ship code quickly and safely. Your communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools will help you ensure the reliability of the systems you build. You are also encouraged to bring any experience you have with security best practices in cloud environments.

By continuously improving the developer experience, you will help Clever engineers iterate on their products more effectively.
In addition to your technical contributions, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team. You will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping the future of Clever's infrastructure and ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of the organization.
