Overview

Paytm is seeking a Manager- HR Compliance to lead and oversee the HR compliance framework across the organization. You'll ensure adherence to labor laws and manage compliance for employee lifecycle events. This role requires strong knowledge of labor laws and excellent stakeholder collaboration skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in HR compliance governance, with experience leading and overseeing end-to-end HR compliance frameworks across organizations. Your expertise ensures adherence to all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations, including CLRA, Shops & Establishments, and the Factories Act. You are skilled at interpreting regulatory changes and translating them into actionable HR policies and processes.

Your experience includes managing statutory and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely filings, returns, and registrations. You have a proven track record of overseeing compliance for employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, payroll, exits, and contractors. You are adept at managing compliance for outsourced staff, vendors, and third-party payrolls, ensuring that all aspects of HR compliance are met.

You excel in audits, inspections, and risk management, leading internal and external HR compliance audits and representing the organization during labor inspections and regulatory inquiries. You are proactive in identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate these risks effectively.

Your skills extend to policy and documentation, where you draft, review, and update HR policies, SOPs, and statutory registers. You ensure proper maintenance of records, licenses, and employee documentation, driving standardization of compliance practices across various locations.

Collaboration is key in your role, as you partner with Legal, Finance, Payroll, HR Ops, and business leaders to advise senior management on compliance risks and mitigation strategies. You coordinate with consultants, labor authorities, and external auditors to ensure comprehensive compliance across the organization.

As a leader, you review team outputs for accuracy and regulatory adherence, mentoring and developing the HR compliance team. You build compliance awareness across HR and business teams, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

You leverage HRIS and compliance automation tools to improve processes and enhance efficiency in compliance management.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the HR compliance governance framework, ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant labor laws and statutory regulations. You will oversee the compliance for employee lifecycle events, managing onboarding, payroll, exits, and contractors effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in managing compliance for outsourced staff and third-party payrolls, ensuring that all compliance requirements are met.

You will conduct internal and external HR compliance audits, representing the organization during labor inspections and regulatory inquiries. Your ability to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions will be essential in maintaining a compliant workplace.

As a mentor to your team, you will review their outputs for accuracy and regulatory adherence, fostering their professional development and building a strong compliance culture within the organization. You will also leverage technology and HRIS tools to streamline compliance processes and improve efficiency.
