Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in avionics and systems engineering, with experience in the aerospace industry. Your expertise allows you to design, build, and test complex avionics systems that are critical for rocket operations. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems and innovate in the field of space technology.

You possess a deep understanding of the full lifecycle of avionics systems, from initial design through to installation and operation. Your technical rigor and creativity enable you to contribute effectively to the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies. You are passionate about advancing science and exploration, and you are eager to leave your mark on the future of space travel.

Desirable

Experience with software development for avionics systems is a plus, as is familiarity with hardware integration and testing methodologies. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are adaptable to the evolving needs of the aerospace industry. A background in project management or leadership roles would also be beneficial, as you may guide junior engineers and contribute to team dynamics.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of avionics systems for the Terran R vehicle. You will collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to ensure that all systems are integrated seamlessly and function reliably under the demanding conditions of space. Your work will involve rigorous testing and validation processes to guarantee the safety and performance of the avionics systems.

You will also engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities, addressing any issues that arise during the development and operational phases. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the Terran R program, as you help to advance the capabilities of commercial spaceflight.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide less experienced engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the team. You will participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, ensuring that Relativity remains at the forefront of aerospace technology.
