Datadog is seeking a Senior Account Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 5+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.
You have over 5 years of closing experience, with a strong background in field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of $1M+, managing an average deal size of $100k+. Your ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders is essential, as you will be responsible for mapping out existing relationships and identifying aspirational contacts within your territory.
You possess a deep understanding of customer business needs and can effectively negotiate favorable pricing and business terms by demonstrating the value and ROI of Datadog's solutions. Resourcefulness is one of your key traits, allowing you to navigate challenges that may arise during the sales process. You have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your sales efforts.
Experience working with Fortune 1000 companies is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud environments and the challenges organizations face when migrating to the cloud. Your ability to prospect effectively and manage a sales pipeline will set you apart.
In this role, you will target and close new business with Datadog’s largest and most strategic customers. You will be responsible for uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale. Your focus will be on delivering the appropriate Datadog solution to meet these needs. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, ensuring that you have a comprehensive understanding of existing relationships and potential contacts.
You will develop a deep comprehension of your customers' businesses, allowing you to tailor your approach and solutions effectively. Negotiating favorable pricing and business terms will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will be selling the value and ROI of Datadog's offerings. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth within your assigned territory.
