Overview

Amazon is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects in the expansion of their European fulfillment network. You'll coordinate resources and manage timelines and budgets. This role requires extensive experience in project management.

You have extensive experience in project management, particularly in leading large and complex projects. Your ability to manage ambitious schedules and coordinate multiple resources is key to your success. You are comfortable interfacing with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization, ensuring that everyone is aligned towards common goals. Your leadership skills enable you to mentor project resources effectively, guiding them through challenges and fostering a collaborative environment.

You thrive in dynamic environments and are adept at managing project engineers and specialists. Your experience includes detailed coordination of schedules and budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints. You understand the importance of standardization and consistency within operational networks, and you are committed to achieving the best results for customers.

Desirable

Experience in the fulfillment or logistics sector is a plus, as is familiarity with safety policies and vendor management. You are open to travel and can adapt to working regionally across EMEA countries, which enhances your ability to oversee projects effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the expansion of Amazon's European fulfillment network by managing the launch of new fulfillment centers. You will coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring that all project components are aligned and executed efficiently. Your responsibilities will include managing the overall project budget, approving purchase orders and invoices, and contributing to the development of comprehensive budgets during project conception.

You will actively participate in vendor management, ensuring compliance with Amazon's safety policies and coordinating multiple material flow and installation schedules. Your ability to drive standardization and consistency will be crucial as you oversee the execution of all business aspects related to the projects.

You will also be responsible for mentoring your project team, helping them navigate challenges and develop their skills. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration and accountability, ensuring that all team members are engaged and motivated to achieve project goals.
