Overview

Block is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager for Afterpay to lead financial services compliance initiatives across Australia and New Zealand. You'll be responsible for developing compliance frameworks and ensuring regulatory adherence. This role requires significant experience in compliance management.

Who you are

You are an experienced compliance leader with a strong background in financial services compliance. With over 5 years in compliance roles, you have a proven track record of developing and implementing compliance frameworks that meet regulatory expectations. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the organization. Your analytical mindset allows you to assess compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. You are passionate about fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization. You thrive in dynamic environments and are adept at navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

Desirable

Experience in the fintech sector is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance technologies and tools. A background in legal or regulatory affairs will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You are proactive in seeking out new compliance challenges and are committed to continuous improvement in compliance processes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support the Head of Compliance in ensuring that the Compliance Function operates effectively and meets all regulatory expectations. You will lead the development and maintenance of the Compliance Framework and Compliance Program, ensuring that it is comprehensive and sustainable. This includes documenting and maintaining policies, standards, and procedures for all aspects of the Compliance Program. You will work closely with various business units to provide compliance advisory services and support licensing and governance initiatives. Your role will involve conducting compliance risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for training and educating employees on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliance solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
