Neuralink is seeking an Optical Engineer to develop custom optics and imaging systems for surgical robots. You'll work on advanced optical technologies and contribute to innovative medical devices. This role requires expertise in optical engineering.
You have a strong background in optical engineering, with experience in developing custom optics and imaging systems. You are passionate about advancing medical technology and have a keen interest in how optics can enhance surgical procedures. You possess a deep understanding of optical coherence tomography and machine vision technologies, and you are familiar with the challenges of integrating these systems into robotic platforms. You are detail-oriented and have experience overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and design through production and testing. You are comfortable working with manufacturing processes and have a track record of developing hardware that meets stringent performance standards.
Experience with laser machining and custom consumables manufacturing is a plus. Familiarity with surgical robotics and the medical device industry will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.
As an Optical Engineer at Neuralink, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing optical systems used in our surgical robots.
