You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in managing accounts for small to medium-sized businesses. With at least 5 years of experience, you understand the nuances of the sales process and can effectively communicate the value of identity solutions to potential clients. You are a self-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, eager to learn and adapt to new challenges. Your ability to build relationships and trust with clients is paramount, as you will be responsible for both acquiring new customers and nurturing existing accounts.
You are comfortable conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing how Okta's solutions can meet the unique needs of small businesses. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner. You are results-oriented, consistently striving to exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Experience in the identity management or cybersecurity space is a plus, as it will enable you to better understand the challenges faced by your clients. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales methodologies will also enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in technology sales, particularly in SaaS, will give you an edge in understanding the competitive landscape and positioning Okta's offerings effectively.
As a Senior SMB Customer Account Executive at Okta, you will be at the forefront of driving growth within your territory. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage potential clients, guiding them through the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal. You will conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific requirements of each client, tailoring your approach to demonstrate how Okta's solutions can address their challenges.
You will collaborate closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure that you are equipped with the latest information and resources to effectively sell Okta's offerings. Regularly conducting product demonstrations and presentations will be a key part of your role, allowing you to showcase the capabilities of the Okta Platform and Auth0 Platform to prospective clients.
In addition to acquiring new customers, you will also focus on cultivating relationships with existing clients, ensuring they are satisfied with their current solutions and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services. Your commitment to customer success will be evident as you provide ongoing support and guidance, helping clients maximize the value they receive from Okta's products.
You will be expected to maintain accurate records of your sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system, providing insights into your pipeline and forecasting future sales. Regularly reviewing your performance against targets will help you stay focused and motivated, driving you to achieve and exceed your goals.
