Amazon is hiring a Data Center Operations Manager to lead teams in hardware and network diagnostics and repairs. You'll manage day-to-day operations and ensure effective staffing and performance. This role requires strong knowledge in data centers and operational management.

Who you are

You have a strong background in data center operations, with experience leading teams in hardware and network diagnostics. Your ability to manage diverse teams effectively is complemented by your organizational skills and effective communication. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are willing to work on a night shift schedule to meet operational demands. You are proactive in creating documentation and innovating solutions to complex problems within the data center space.

You possess a deep understanding of data center operations and are capable of prioritizing and assigning trouble tickets to technicians. Your experience includes recruiting and training data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels. You are a fast learner and can act as a subject matter expert across all aspects of data center operations, ensuring that all operational KPIs are met.

Desirable

Experience in managing performance across different locations and developing career paths for employees is a plus. Familiarity with internal tools for managing operations will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be operationally responsible for a data center, overseeing the performance of your team and ensuring efficient management of day-to-day operations. You will prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, ensuring that all operational KPIs are met. Your leadership will be crucial in developing career paths for your employees and making updates in internal tools to enhance operational efficiency.

You will also be responsible for managing the queue of trouble tickets and ensuring that hardware logistics are handled effectively. Your ability to react quickly to issues will be critical in maintaining the 24/7 operations of the data center. You will participate in an on-call rotation, providing support as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $78,400.00 - $137,300.00 USD annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program.
