You have a BS in Material Science, Optics, Engineering Physics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience. Your expertise includes the optical coating process and equipment, and you have hands-on experience with optical coating and thin film characterization and metrologies. You are a flexible thinker who can problem-solve alongside a diverse team of engineers, chemists, and physicists.
Your advanced qualifications, such as an MS or PhD in a relevant field, further enhance your profile. You have a consistent track record in optical coatings, particularly with vacuum deposition coatings, showcasing your ability to lead projects from R&D to implementation. You thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated to contribute to innovative hardware technologies.
In this role, you will lead the investigation and development of optical coatings, thin films, and interference optical filters to enhance Apple's display technologies. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that the optical components meet the high standards expected in Apple products. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the entire lifecycle of optical technologies, from research and development through to practical implementation in real products.
