Block is seeking a Strategic Partnership Manager to manage and grow relationships with major card networks and partners. You'll work cross-functionally to enable innovative product experiences and advance financial inclusion. This role requires strong collaboration and strategic thinking skills.
You have a strong background in managing strategic partnerships, ideally within the financial services or technology sectors. You understand the dynamics of working with major card networks and have experience in building and nurturing relationships that drive business growth. Your ability to collaborate across various teams, including Product, Engineering, and Compliance, is essential for success in this role. You are data-driven and can leverage insights to inform partnership strategies and decisions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable navigating complex organizational structures to achieve your goals. You are passionate about financial inclusion and are motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through your work.
Experience with fraud, risk, and identity management partners is a plus. Familiarity with the payments ecosystem and a network of contacts within the card networks can enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in technology or product development will also be beneficial as you work closely with engineering teams to implement partnership initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with major card networks such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. You will work closely with these partners to develop innovative product experiences that enhance the Cash App ecosystem. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to align partnership strategies with product development and marketing initiatives. You will analyze partnership performance metrics and provide insights to inform future strategies. Additionally, you will represent Block in meetings with partners, advocating for our interests and ensuring alignment on shared goals. You will also be involved in negotiating partnership agreements and managing the ongoing relationship to ensure mutual success.
