Overview

Microsoft is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for their AI team to lead initiatives focused on model response quality and program architecture. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills across various teams.

Who you are

You have a strong background in technical program management, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives that drive product quality and operational efficiency. You thrive in environments that require a scrappy mindset and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities. Your expertise in architecting solutions from the ground up sets you apart, as you enjoy taking ownership of projects and influencing product direction. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and are skilled at building frameworks that support scalable systems.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to coordinate effectively with diverse teams, including Research, Engineering, Data, and Product. Your ability to manage vendor relationships and develop scalable feedback loops is crucial for ensuring the success of AI systems. You are detail-oriented and focused on delivering accurate, safe, and user-aligned outputs.

Desirable

Experience in AI or machine learning projects is a plus, as is familiarity with operational frameworks and governance models. A background in software engineering or data science can enhance your ability to contribute to technical discussions and decisions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead initiatives focused on improving model response quality and program architecture within Microsoft AI. You will own the end-to-end model feedback process, coordinating efforts across various teams to ensure that AI systems deliver high-quality outputs. Your responsibilities will include designing and scaling operational frameworks that support the broader goals of the Copilot initiative.

You will drive improvements based on production usage, leveraging data and feedback to refine processes and enhance system performance.
