Overview

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Electronic Product Manufacturing to lead complex projects in mobile phone and consumer electronics. You'll utilize your engineering expertise and project management skills to drive initiatives from concept through ramp-up in Hanoi.

Job Description

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and have at least 2 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, particularly in electronic manufacturing projects. Your background includes managing mobile phone projects or consumer electronics, and you have experience in automated vision system development, liquid dispensing processes, or mechanical fixturing design. You possess excellent communication skills and can effectively influence decisions across various project stakeholders and levels. You are comfortable engaging in technical conversations in English or Mandarin, demonstrating your ability to bridge communication gaps in diverse teams.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and ensure clear communication with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve managing the mechanical and process operations side of projects, working closely with the Product Design team to ensure designs are manufacturable. You will oversee the development of manufacturing processes, equipment, and fixtures to meet product requirements, and manage the final assembly process from initial design concept through ramp-up. Additionally, you will serve as the device assembly technical lead, resolving complex issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
