Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operation Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.

Experience with diesel generators and fuel systems is a plus, as well as familiarity with three-phase electrical systems. A background in AWS infrastructure services or similar environments will be beneficial as you adapt to the fast-paced nature of data center operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems that support our data center operations. You will work directly with stand-by diesel generators, UPS systems, and various cooling systems to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably. Your expertise will help us achieve our goal of maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, which is critical for our global digital experiences. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to identify and resolve issues quickly, ensuring that our infrastructure remains robust and responsive to the needs of our customers. You will also participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks, documenting your findings and contributing to our operational reports. Your role will involve hands-on work, requiring you to be comfortable with tools and equipment used in electrical and mechanical maintenance. You will be part of a team that supports all AWS data centers, contributing to the design, planning, delivery, and operation of our global infrastructure.
