What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for APM SDK Capabilities, you will lead a senior team responsible for building the core infrastructure that underpins Datadog’s tracing libraries. Your role will involve guiding the technical direction across multiple language SDKs, ensuring that the solutions developed are consistent, reliable, and extensible. You will partner closely with APM and OpenTelemetry product teams to align on goals and deliver impactful features across the APM suite.

You will work cross-functionally to ensure that the instrumentation developed is not only powerful but also easy for developers to adopt. This will involve collaborating with various teams to understand their needs and challenges, and translating those into actionable technical solutions. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members, helping them grow in their careers while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
