You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience in software development across various programming languages. Your background includes 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems, and you have a solid understanding of testing, maintaining, or launching software products. You also possess 1 year of experience in software design and architecture, showcasing your ability to create robust systems. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, along with 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. You have demonstrated technical leadership qualities through at least 1 year in a leadership role and have experience developing accessible technologies.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Google, you will be involved in developing technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact with information. You will work on projects that require handling information at massive scale, extending beyond web search. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle complex problems across the full-stack, ensuring best practices in coding and documentation. You will contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting it based on product updates and user feedback. Additionally, you will triage product or system issues, debugging and resolving them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
