SpaceX is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Starship Quality team to develop software solutions that enhance quality processes in the Starship program. You'll work with Java and Python to ensure safety and reliability in aerospace applications.
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with a focus on quality assurance and process improvement. You are a collaborative engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and making a meaningful impact on ambitious projects. Your background includes experience with software design, implementation, and validation, and you thrive in environments where you can take ownership of your work. You are motivated by the mission of advancing human space exploration and are eager to contribute to a team that values diverse perspectives and innovative thinking.
Experience in aerospace or related industries is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with ERP software and data reporting solutions will help you align with the team's goals. A passion for quality and safety in engineering processes will set you apart as a candidate.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Starship Quality team, you will develop new software solutions that drive the implementation of improved quality processes throughout the build and launch of Starship vehicles. You will work closely with Build and Flight Reliability Engineers to identify critical project scopes and fully own the software design and implementation. Your role will involve aligning emerging and legacy ERP software to enforce increased standards of safety and reliability. You will be responsible for creating data reporting solutions that enhance the quality assurance processes and support the overall mission of SpaceX.
You will collaborate with a small, focused team of engineers, sharing your insights and expertise to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
