Job Description

Amazon Development Center Taiwan is looking for a highly motivated, smart-working, and creative candidate to join our operation team in Taipei.

The Role and Responsibilities include:

[Supplier Management]
- Drive supplier (ODM/OEM/JDM) relationship management and strategic business development
- Lead supplier qualification, selection and contract negotiation processes
- Drive business negotiations covering cost structure, supply commitment, and commercial terms
-Conduct quarterly business reviews to drive continuous improvement on supplier performance metrics
-Build competitive supplier ecosystem to enhance quality, cost competitiveness and technology innovation

[Cost Management]
- Lead end-to-end cost management from RFQ phase through product lifecycle.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and savings opportunities.
- Develop should-cost models and cost breakdown analysis to support business negotiations
- Execute RFQ processes and close business deals within financial guidelines and target costs

[Cross-functional Leadership]
- Partner with global teams across different time zones and cultures
- Represent operations in key program reviews and strategic planning sessions
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Finance, Engineering, and Product teams
- Drive consensus across multiple stakeholders on complex business decisions- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field
- 6+ years of experience in operations, supplier management, or related areas
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems
- Track record of successful cost reduction initiatives
- Experience with contract manufacturing business models
- Strong project management and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin- Ability to innovate on issues related to strategic sourcing, vendor relations, quality assurance and the associated measurement systems
- People management experience
- Ability to develop efficient work processes for complex projects involving many groups, across multiple geographies and effectively coordinate, implement, and maintain those processes
