Overview

Microsoft is hiring a Technical Program Manager to drive data excellence and insights for the Windows Compatibility team. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to enhance internal reporting and leverage AI for data-driven decision-making. This role is based in Dublin.

Job Description

Overview

In this role you will be driving data excellence and data insights via internal reporting, toolsets and AI agents to support the Windows Compatibility team’s charter. You’ll be working closely with an engineering team located in both Dublin and Redmond.

The Windows Compat team ensures that the Windows OS continues to be the platform of choice in the ecosystem. Our job is to ensure that millions of unique applications and devices “just work.” This sounds simple, but it’s a deep and broad space that offers a lot of complexity and learnings. Your role will be as a partner to the engineering team that owns data insights and tooling to enable the consumption of this data. The Compat team often leverages in-market data to drive our business decisions, and this same data is also used across the Windows organization. These business decisions directly impact our customers.

Day to day work for this role includes driving feature work with existing technology, planning/strategizing for future iterations and spec writing. This role also involves data analysis and how to leverage AI or other automation solutions to ensure internal teams can leverage the right data to prioritize their work.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

If improving the experience for over a billion users excites you, if you have a real passion to support customers and understand the complexity of the OS while working with a supportive and dynamic team, then please reach out. We’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal partners to drive Compatibility quality in OS releases.
  • Support the App Compat charter by planning work, writing technical specs, driving feature work and aligning with internal partners.
  • Leverage data to solve customer problems and influence business decisions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Some experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Cross group collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results oriented.
  • Prefer experience of PM or TPM experience with the OS, embedded systems or similarly deep technological areas.
