Overview

Tanium is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to lead enterprise software sales in the Bay Area. You'll be responsible for generating opportunities and managing complex sales cycles with key decision-makers. This role requires significant experience in enterprise software sales.

Job Description

Who you are

You have significant enterprise software sales experience, generating and closing large and complex software transactions with the biggest customers in the region. You are comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and technical teams alike, articulating the value of technology solutions tailored to customer needs. You thrive in a team-oriented environment, understanding that selling is a collaborative effort that requires managing and utilizing virtual resources effectively. You have a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and are adept at maintaining excellent pipeline management through accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene.

Desirable

Experience in cybersecurity or IT management is a plus, as is familiarity with the Tanium platform or similar enterprise solutions. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to present effectively to diverse audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership. You are proactive in nurturing relationships within your assigned territory and are skilled at generating qualified leads through webinars and presentations.

What you'll do

As the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within your assigned territory and accounts. You will articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision-makers and expertly manage the complex sales cycle. Your role will involve nurturing and developing relationships within your assigned territory, presenting the value of the Tanium platform to C-suite executives. You will collaborate with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts, ensuring a healthy pipeline management through accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene. You will conduct online webinars or in-person presentations to generate qualified leads and travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.
