SpaceX is hiring an Automation & Controls Engineer for the Starlink project to design and implement advanced automation systems for satellite production. You'll work with PLC programming, robotics, and manufacturing processes in Redmond.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and have a strong foundation in automation and controls. You possess experience in designing and implementing projects that span machine design, robotics, and manufacturing processes. Your expertise includes architecting, writing, and debugging PLC code, which is essential for the role. You are familiar with implementing vision systems for robotic guidance and quality control, ensuring that production processes are efficient and reliable. You have a keen understanding of designing user interfaces that simplify complex machinery, making it easier for operators to troubleshoot and maintain systems. Safety is a priority for you, and you are knowledgeable about ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA compliance standards.
As an Automation & Controls Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for designing, building, qualifying, and implementing automation projects that enhance the efficiency of satellite production.
