Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.
You have 3+ years of closing experience, ideally with a mix of field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over 1 million, operating with an average deal size of $100,000 or more. You possess a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in large organizations, demonstrating a deep comprehension of their business needs and challenges. You are resourceful and can navigate complex sales processes, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your approach. You have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation, making you a valuable asset to any sales team.
Experience in selling cloud solutions or services is a plus, as is familiarity with the challenges organizations face when migrating to cloud environments. A background in technology sales will help you understand the value propositions of Datadog’s offerings and how they can address customer pain points effectively.
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies, running an efficient sales process to close new business. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your focus will be on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale, and delivering the appropriate Datadog solution. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, selling value and ROI. Additionally, you will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory. You will demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions, ensuring that you are always prepared to meet customer needs and expectations.
