As a Senior Data Engineer in the Cruise Data Engineering team, you will architect & automate end-2-end data processing and data management lifecycle on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with XFN partners (Product Managers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Application Sources, etc) to capture requirements and build a robust data platform. You will perform data analysis, build data pipelines and build canonical datasets and domain data models to empower users to make data driven business decisions. As a senior member , you will mentor other junior team members.
4+ years of Data Engineering Experience on BigData Systems
Experience with Data Lakes / Warehouse / Lakehouse and Relational Databases
Experience orchestrating ETL / ELT Data pipelines
Strong experience in Python / Java / C (any one or more) programming languages, Data Modeling & SQL programming
Experience with multi-hop medallion architecture and domain driven data models
Experience working with and implementing open source applications
Experience with DBT, Hex and GCP (Big Query, Looker)
Experience building real time (streaming data) pipelines and / or APIs
Familiarity with Agile Scrum principles / ceremonies and SDLC practices
The salary range for this position is $142,800 - $210,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
