Senior Staff Technical Program Manager

With over 15 years of experience in engineering organizations, you have a proven track record of leading complex cross-functional technical programs. Your background includes at least 10 years in software development, particularly with cloud storage and compute products, which gives you a solid foundation for understanding the technical aspects of the role. You are well-versed in Service Oriented Architecture and Cloud Infrastructure, allowing you to effectively influence technical discussions and summarize outcomes for stakeholders.

You possess exceptional communication skills, enabling you to engage with a diverse set of engineers and stakeholders. Your hyper-organized nature allows you to coordinate across multiple independent work streams and organizations, ensuring that all aspects of the program are executed effectively. As a role model for effective execution practices, you are driven by a keen sense of priority and urgency, which helps you navigate the complexities of program management.

Your experience in program delivery equips you to influence improvements to tools, operations, and architecture within the organization. You are trained in using project tracking software such as Jira, Rally, and MS Project, which are essential for managing the various aspects of technical programs. Familiarity with MongoDB or comparable technologies is a plus, as it allows you to better understand the products and services you will be working with.

Additionally, you have an interest in business automation work, including scripting in Python, Google Apps Script, and Slack, which enhances your ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Product Design, Marketing, and Analytics to conduct data-driven experiments and deliver impactful features for MongoDB. You will be responsible for one of the most mission-critical programs this fiscal year, ensuring that all aspects of the program are executed to the highest standards. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team through complex challenges and ensuring alignment across various departments.

You will own executive-level communication related to the program, summarizing outcomes and next steps for stakeholders. This requires you to be adept at translating technical details into clear, actionable insights that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to influence technical discussions will be key in driving the program forward and ensuring that all team members are aligned on objectives.
