Google is seeking a Data Center Server Operations Manager to oversee the quality installation of server hardware and components. You'll manage a team of Data Center Technicians and ensure the effective operation of data center environments. This role requires 5+ years of experience in computing infrastructure and team management.
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware. Your background includes 2 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management, and delivery. You are flexible and can work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, and holidays as required. Your experience in data center environments has equipped you with the skills to build and operate infrastructure, network, compute architecture, and perform Linux/Unix system administration. You have a proven track record of leading and executing cross-functional initiatives in a global environment and are committed to improving Environmental Health and Safety initiatives while fostering a collaborative team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills are part of your toolkit, enabling you to tackle complex challenges effectively.
As a Data Center Server Operations Manager at Google, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server hardware and software.
