Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Power Hardware-in-the-Loop team. You'll design and build services for automated testing of satellite power systems, utilizing your expertise in Python and API development. This role requires significant experience in software testing and hardware integration.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing and testing software for hardware systems. Your background includes working with large sensor datasets and creating automated test cases that ensure the reliability of complex systems. You are proficient in Python and have a strong understanding of API development, which allows you to build services that facilitate testing and validation processes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and business leaders to achieve project goals. Your experience includes participating in all phases of software development, from requirements gathering to implementation and deployment. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for ensuring high-quality software through rigorous testing methodologies.
Experience with satellite systems or avionics is a plus, as is familiarity with power management algorithms. You may also have knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop testing techniques and tools that enhance the testing process. A background in working with cloud services or data management platforms would be beneficial, as it complements the requirements of this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining services that enable the development and execution of automated test cases for power hardware-in-the-loop testing. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers to verify power system avionics hardware and power management software. Your work will involve creating and managing large datasets that are essential for testing, as well as developing APIs that support the testing infrastructure. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that the solutions you create meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will also engage in troubleshooting and debugging to resolve any issues that arise during testing, contributing to the overall success of the satellite bus systems team.
