Esri is hiring a Product Engineer II to build software and design user interfaces for the ArcGIS platform. You'll collaborate with clients and partners to ensure success in developing modern applications. This role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills.
You are an energetic and motivated software engineer with a keen eye for detail. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy building software that meets user needs. Your problem-solving skills enable you to propose effective solutions to complex challenges. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, which you use to present ideas and coordinate with teams effectively. You are passionate about creating compelling user interfaces and supporting critical workflows that enhance user experiences.
Experience with cloud-oriented platforms and modern web, desktop, and mobile applications is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards and specifications will help you excel in this role.
As a Product Engineer II at Esri, you will be a key member of the software development team, contributing to the design of the next generation of the ArcGIS platform. You will research and analyze customer requests to establish and define requirements, translating them into innovative software designs. Daily coordination with developers will be essential as you maintain focused development goals and coordinate technical and design solutions on features and functions. You will document complete software functions into a product matrix and develop public-facing samples that showcase new functionalities.
Your role will also involve defining and completing robust test workflows, including the creation and maintenance of test harnesses. You will synthesize software functionality into effective product documentation and assess product quality and release readiness. As a product liaison, you will communicate goals and progress to various collaborating teams, field questions about product capabilities, and prepare presentations and demos for conferences.
