Relativity is seeking a Manager of Power Electronics Engineering to lead the Avionics team in developing the nervous system for the Terran R vehicle. You'll work on designing, building, and testing hardware that connects and controls major electrical systems. This role requires strong expertise in electrical engineering and leadership skills.

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience in managing engineering teams. Your leadership skills are complemented by a deep understanding of power electronics and avionics systems, allowing you to guide your team effectively through complex projects. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving challenging problems that push the boundaries of technology.

Your experience includes overseeing the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from initial design through testing and implementation. You have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and can communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You are passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects in the aerospace industry. You understand the importance of autonomy and ownership in your work, and you are committed to fostering a culture of creativity and technical rigor within your team.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace sector or with rocket systems is a plus. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools will help you excel in this role. You are open to mentoring junior engineers and helping them grow in their careers, contributing to a supportive team environment.

What you'll do

As the Manager of Power Electronics Engineering, you will lead the Avionics team responsible for the design, development, and testing of the Terran R vehicle's electrical systems. You will oversee the integration of various hardware components, ensuring they work seamlessly together to control the vehicle's operations. Your role will involve collaborating closely with other engineering teams to align on project goals and timelines.
