Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of experience working with hand tools, band saws, or torches. You possess the ability to analyze engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of cut parts, ensuring precision in your work. You are committed to improving operations and streamlining work processes, demonstrating a proactive approach to your responsibilities. You are willing to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses, operator permits, or certifications required for the role. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with leaders to complete assignments and solve problems efficiently.

What you'll do

As a Weld Support Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks including plasma table programming and operating band and chop saws. You will be responsible for manually drilling and milling materials, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. You will analyze engineering drawings to determine the necessary dimensions and tolerances for cut parts, playing a crucial role in the production process. You will also make continuous efforts to improve operations and decrease turnaround times, contributing to a more efficient work environment. Your role will involve cross-training across various functions, allowing you to develop a well-rounded skill set within the weld support team. You will work cooperatively with your team to meet deadlines and review issues for consistent improvement.
