Wikimedia is seeking a Director of People Transformation to lead innovative HR strategies that enhance employee experience and support the Foundation's mission. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership to implement key projects and systems within the People department.
You have extensive experience in human resources, particularly in leading transformation initiatives that align with organizational culture and values. Your background includes working closely with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that enhance employee engagement and experience. You understand the importance of creating a supportive remote work environment and have a track record of driving culturally-aligned HR investments. You are skilled in overseeing complex projects and systems updates, ensuring seamless transitions and effective implementation.
You possess strong collaboration skills, enabling you to represent the People Department in cross-department projects and working groups. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders is crucial in driving initiatives that impact the Foundation’s ways of working. You are committed to fostering a positive people culture and positioning Wikimedia as an employer of choice in the nonprofit and technology sectors.
Experience in the nonprofit sector or with organizations focused on advocacy and technology is a plus. Familiarity with HR information systems and data analytics will enhance your ability to lead systems updates and innovations effectively.
In this role, you will work side-by-side with the Chief People Officer and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies that advance the Foundation’s mission. You will lead a team responsible for overseeing key projects related to compensation, performance management, and HR information systems. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving updates and innovations within the People Department, ensuring that systems are aligned with the Foundation’s goals and culture.
You will represent the People Department in various cross-department projects, collaborating with peers to ensure that HR initiatives are integrated into the broader organizational strategy. Your role will involve managing vendor relationships and overseeing data analytics and reporting to inform decision-making processes.
You will also be responsible for creating a stellar employee experience that reflects Wikimedia’s values and mission. This includes developing programs and initiatives that support employee growth, belonging, and engagement. You will work closely with the VP of People Experience and the VP of People Growth & Belonging to ensure that all HR practices are aligned with the Foundation’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
