Overview

Benevity is seeking a Product Manager for their API Ecosystem to define the vision and strategy for API development. You'll focus on enhancing Developer Experience and optimizing APIs for future technologies. This role requires strategic thinking and experience in product management.

Who you are

You have a strong background in product management, ideally with 5+ years of experience in technology-driven environments. You understand the importance of Developer Experience (DX) and have a strategic mindset that allows you to define and execute product roadmaps effectively. Your ability to analyze market trends and incorporate emerging technologies like GraphQL into product strategies sets you apart. You are skilled at articulating business value and ROI to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering and design teams to bring innovative products to life. Your experience with API ecosystems and microservices architecture gives you a solid foundation to drive product initiatives. You are proactive and enjoy researching new trends to keep your products competitive and relevant in the market. You are committed to creating inclusive and accessible products that resonate with diverse user bases.

Desirable

Experience with AI technologies and machine-to-machine optimizations is a plus, as you will be future-proofing APIs for an agentic future. Familiarity with event-driven architecture and semantic labeling will enhance your contributions to the team. You are open to learning and adapting to new tools and methodologies that can improve product outcomes.

What you'll do

As the Product Manager for the Benevity API Ecosystem, you will own the vision and strategy for API development, ensuring it aligns with the company's broader goals. You will define the long-term roadmap for the API ecosystem, focusing on enhancing Developer Experience and facilitating internal team adoption of the API Factory. Your role will involve conducting market analysis to identify emerging trends and technologies that can be integrated into the API strategy.

You will collaborate with other product managers to ensure synergy in product development and to align API initiatives with overall business objectives. Your ability to communicate effectively with leadership will be crucial as you articulate the business value and ROI of major API initiatives. You will also be responsible for optimizing APIs for future technologies, ensuring they are ready for an agentic future where AI and automated systems interact seamlessly with the platform.
