Job Description

Amazon is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast-paced world of Payroll operations. We’re looking for exceptional people with great auditing skills, problem solving skills, payroll process combined with payroll system knowledge, and customer service passion.

Amazon seeks a Senior Payroll Analyst with 5-10 years payroll operation experience in a large customer-oriented corporate environment. The Senior Payroll Analyst will take care of complete South Korea payroll operations. It includes end to end payroll processes and the relevant project supports.

Responsibilities also include:

• Own payroll end to end process
• Process payroll with payroll vendor
• Audit payroll related data
• View and manage human resource data in Peoplesoft
• Review and process benefits program in monthly payroll
• Review and process Mytime input records for employees
• Process new hires, terminations, employee maintenance, setup benefit deductions
• Process manual check calculations, work with the vendor to process stop payments/reversals and backup other payroll analysts as needed
• Produce timely responses to employee inquiries
• Record stock transactions, relocation transactions and processing of annual tax filing activities
• Lead payroll project discussions and manage the project progress - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Fluent in business English, both verbal and written- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- CPA
- Knowledge of SOX methodology and associated standards (sections 302, 404, AS5, PCAOB, etc.)
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Korean
