SpaceX is seeking an Instrumentation Fitter to install and maintain launch pad mechanical and fluid systems. You'll work with hydraulics, high-pressure systems, and collaborate with a team of technicians. This role requires experience in fabrication and installation.
You have experience as an instrumentation fitter, specifically in installing and maintaining mechanical and fluid systems. You are responsible and hardworking, with a strong focus on the quality of your work. You thrive in a collaborative environment and can lead teams effectively, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to specification. You are proactive in suggesting improvements and streamlining processes, always looking for ways to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Your ability to troubleshoot operational issues is key, and you maintain composure under pressure, especially during critical launch operations.
In this role, you will fabricate and install fluid system components based on schematics or engineering drawings. This includes working with various components such as ball valves, check valves, pressure regulators, and pressure gauges. You will direct teams of contractors, managing installation and maintenance projects at the launch pad. Your responsibilities will also include troubleshooting any operational issues that arise during the activation of fluid and mechanical systems. You will collaborate closely with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally and meet the high standards set by SpaceX.
