Alexa Trust CX Innovations teams are at the forefront of this latest technology wave of Generative AI experiences. We are looking for passionate and talented Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to help develop test infrastructure and set up processes on improving the quality, diversity, and customer experience of Alexa Privacy. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define product features, quality requirements, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. You will lead and drive quality initiatives across multiple teams and complex systems. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies, mentoring junior QA engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet Amazon's high standards.

As a QAE on the team, you will drive the quality of our features in our development pipeline using both automated and manual tests, reporting and verifying defects, and signing-off on features and release candidates. You will own authoring and the execution of test plans and test cases. You will have a significant impact on the quality and delivery speed of our software, our business, and most importantly our customers. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers in order to ensure the features we deliver to our customers have a high level of quality. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team’s speed, quality, and efficiency.


Key job responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies for complex, large-scale systems
• Drive quality best practices and testing methodologies across multiple teams
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior QA engineers
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define quality requirements
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools
• Lead root cause analysis for complex production issues
• Influence architectural decisions to improve testability and quality
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies- 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and diagnostic
- Experience with developing test frameworks
- Experience scripting or coding
- Experience working with other QA teams and mentoring junior engineers- 2+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
- Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
