Overview

Smarsh is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive services sales and support enterprise and federal businesses. You'll leverage your consultative selling expertise to translate customer needs into service engagements. This role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and business acumen.

Who you are

You have a strong background in services sales, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a consultative selling role. Your ability to understand complex customer needs and translate them into actionable service engagements sets you apart. You possess a unique blend of technical knowledge and business acumen, allowing you to effectively communicate the value of professional services to clients. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with sales teams, product management, and customer success to drive revenue and adoption of solutions.

Your consultative approach to sales means you are skilled at building relationships and understanding the nuances of customer requirements. You are adept at identifying compliance-focused delivery offerings and can articulate the importance of these services to clients in regulated industries. You are comfortable navigating complex sales cycles and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively liaise between various teams and ensure that customer expectations are met. You are passionate about helping organizations manage risk and unleash intelligence in their digital communications.

Desirable

Experience in the technology sector, particularly in compliance or risk management, would be a plus. Familiarity with digital communication channels and the regulatory landscape is highly desirable. You may also have experience working with enterprise and federal clients, which would enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will act as a critical liaison between Smarsh Global Services and the Enterprise and Federal Sales teams. Your primary responsibility will be to support and expand the services sales efforts, ensuring that customers understand the value of Smarsh’s professional services. You will work closely with product management to align service offerings with customer needs and market demands.

You will engage with clients to identify their specific requirements and develop tailored service engagements that address their unique challenges. Your consultative selling approach will help you build strong relationships with clients, positioning Smarsh as a trusted partner in managing compliance and risk.

You will collaborate with delivery leaders and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution of service engagements. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in driving customer satisfaction and retention.

You will also be responsible for tracking sales metrics and reporting on progress towards revenue goals. Your insights will help shape the strategy for services sales and identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts. You will participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
