Marqeta is seeking a Senior Director of Talent Development to lead the learning and talent development strategy. You'll focus on talent planning, learning strategy, and performance management. This role requires extensive experience in talent development and management.
You have a proven track record in talent development, with at least 7-10 years of experience leading teams and implementing effective learning strategies. Your expertise in aligning talent management with business objectives is complemented by your ability to analyze data and feedback to drive continuous improvement in employee development initiatives. You are skilled in performance management processes and have a deep understanding of how to foster a culture of growth and learning within an organization.
You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Your strategic mindset allows you to anticipate organizational needs and proactively develop solutions that enhance employee engagement and performance. You are passionate about creating a positive learning environment that empowers employees to reach their full potential.
Experience in a technology-driven environment is a plus, as is familiarity with modern learning management systems and tools. You may also have a background in organizational psychology or human resources, which enhances your understanding of employee development and engagement strategies.
In this role, you will lead the Talent Development function at Marqeta, driving the development and execution of a comprehensive learning and talent development strategy. You will oversee the design and implementation of talent planning processes, including performance reviews and succession planning, ensuring they align with the company's business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in preparing materials for the Board of Directors, showcasing the effectiveness of talent initiatives.
You will utilize data from engagement surveys and employee feedback to create a targeted learning roadmap that addresses both technical and soft skills development. By integrating learning initiatives into the flow of work, you will ensure that employees have access to the resources they need to grow and succeed in their roles.
Additionally, you will manage the performance management process, establishing a goal-setting framework that drives individual and organizational performance. Your role will involve collaborating with the Head of People Business Partners to ensure that talent development strategies are effectively communicated and executed across the organization.
