Overview

DoorDash is hiring a Staff Technical Program Manager for their Autonomy & Robotics team to optimize last-mile deliveries using autonomous technology. You'll leverage your technical and data analytics skills while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Phoenix.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and possess extensive experience in technical program management, particularly in robotics or autonomy. Your strong analytical skills enable you to investigate complex operational issues and drive improvements effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, engaging with diverse teams across hardware, software, and operations to enhance delivery systems. Your communication skills allow you to interface seamlessly with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity in project goals. You are passionate about leveraging technology to improve service delivery and have a keen interest in the robotics field. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and are adept at using analytics to inform your strategies.

Desirable

Experience in logistics technology or a related field is a plus. Familiarity with autonomous systems and their operational challenges will set you apart. You are comfortable with both software and hardware aspects of robotics, enabling you to initiate and drive improvements across the entire delivery robot fleet. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to travel occasionally to other locations for collaboration are essential.

What you'll do

As the Staff Technical Program Manager at DoorDash Labs, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and optimizing last-mile deliveries through autonomy. You will lead initiatives that enhance the performance and reliability of our delivery robots, working closely with operations teams to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. Your role will involve driving process improvements across engineering and operations, ensuring that our technology meets the high standards expected by our users. You will engage with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, firmware, and operations, to facilitate seamless integration and execution of projects. Your ability to analyze data will be crucial in investigating robot fleet health and operational issues, allowing you to propose actionable solutions. You will report directly to the manager of the Technical Program Management team, contributing to the strategic direction of our robotics initiatives.
