Socket is seeking a Sales Engineer to lead growth in EMEA by bridging pre-sales technical expertise with post-sale customer success. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to drive customer engagement.
You have a strong background in sales engineering, ideally with experience in the tech industry — you understand the nuances of technical discussions and can effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You thrive in a hybrid role that combines pre-sales and post-sales responsibilities, ensuring customer success and satisfaction. You are customer-obsessed, always prioritizing the needs of clients and striving to exceed their expectations. Your ability to build relationships and trust with prospects and existing customers is paramount, as you will be the bridge that connects them to Socket's solutions.
Experience in the open-source software space or familiarity with security tools would be a plus — you understand the challenges developers and security teams face and can empathize with their needs. You are comfortable designing and executing proofs of concept (POCs) that showcase the value of Socket's offerings. Your technical acumen allows you to address objections and troubleshoot issues effectively, instilling confidence in potential customers.
In this role, you will lead technical discussions and product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of prospects — your goal is to help them evaluate Socket effectively and understand how it can benefit their organization. You will design and execute POCs that enable prospects to see the value of Socket in action. Addressing technical objections and troubleshooting issues will be part of your daily responsibilities, as you work to build customer confidence in our solutions.
Post-sale, you will own the success and growth of assigned European enterprise accounts — creating and executing success plans aligned with customer goals, complete with clear KPIs. You will drive feature adoption and identify expansion opportunities across the customer base, ensuring that clients are getting the most out of their investment in Socket. Conducting quarterly business reviews and renewal discussions will be essential to maintaining strong relationships and ensuring long-term success.
