Amazon is hiring a Software Engineer for the Leo AI Foundations team to design and implement globally distributed systems for low Earth orbit satellite connectivity. In this role, you will architect and implement a scalable, cost-optimized S3-based Data Lakehouse that unifies structured and unstructured data from various sources. You will design and enforce standardized data ingestion patterns, ensuring built-in quality controls and validation gates. Your responsibilities will include establishing a centralized metrics repository that serves as the source of truth for all Leo metrics. You will implement robust data quality frameworks to maintain high standards in data management. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development of systems that enable low single-digit-second query responses within a near real-time analytics layer. You will also support the integration of AI capabilities into the systems you build, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse users, from households to government agencies.
