What you'll do

As a Founding Senior Data Engineer, you will build and own the data pipelines that power Squarespace's search system, including corpus ingestion, processing, enrichment, and index refresh. You will design and maintain feature pipelines for machine learning models, collaborating closely with the Ranking Machine Learning Engineer on feature engineering and computation. Your role will also involve owning the embedding pipeline infrastructure to run models at scale, ensuring that the systems you build are efficient and reliable.

You will integrate with and extend the feature store infrastructure to serve features at both training and inference times. Establishing data quality monitoring, validation, and alerting across the search data stack will be a key responsibility, as you work to maintain high standards for data integrity and performance. You will partner with machine learning engineering teams to ensure that the data foundation you create supports innovative search experiences.
