Microsoft is hiring a Support Engineer to provide technical and customer service support for a Diagnostic Solution product. You'll assist users with product issues and utilize SQL and HL7 skills to resolve problems effectively.
You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and possess strong technical support skills. You are experienced in providing customer service and have a knack for troubleshooting software and hardware issues. Your analytical skills allow you to identify and resolve problems efficiently, and you are comfortable documenting interactions and solutions according to standard operating procedures. You are familiar with HL7 interfaces and system integration troubleshooting, and you have a solid understanding of SQL for complex query troubleshooting. You are also prepared to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to customer support.
In this role, you will provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and web tickets, ensuring prompt and high-quality service. You will be responsible for resolving issues quickly or escalating them when necessary. Your role will involve researching, analyzing, and documenting solutions for problems related to Microsoft Healthcare products and supporting technologies. You will establish processes, policies, and procedures while creating technical documentation for newsletters, knowledge bases, and manuals. You will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with HL7 interfaces, and resolve critical customer issues by analyzing application exceptions. Additionally, you will identify and assess events during system outages using your platform and network expertise, working closely with technical teams and customer IT staff as required.
