Overview

Datadog is seeking a Director of Enterprise Sales to lead a team of Enterprise Sales Executives in driving new business. This role requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with a focus on achieving sales targets and developing go-to-market strategies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience managing a high-performing Enterprise Sales team in a B2B technology environment — your leadership has driven significant revenue growth and you excel at building strong relationships with clients. You understand the complexities of the sales cycle and have a proven track record of coaching teams to success, focusing on metrics such as deal size and win rates. Your strategic mindset allows you to shape go-to-market strategies that resonate with enterprise clients, ensuring that your team is well-equipped to meet their needs.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and value the importance of office culture — you believe that strong relationships within your team lead to better performance and creativity. Your experience has taught you the importance of mentorship, and you take pride in developing the skills of your team members, helping them navigate complex negotiations and build executive relationships with key accounts. You are results-driven and have a keen ability to forecast sales accurately, guiding your team to achieve their quotas consistently.

Desirable

Experience in a hybrid workplace is a plus, as you understand the balance between in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. Familiarity with sales productivity tools and metrics will enhance your ability to coach your team effectively.

What you'll do

As the Director of Enterprise Sales at Datadog, you will manage, hire, and train a team of Enterprise Sales Executives who are responsible for driving new business through the full sales cycle. You will set and achieve annual Enterprise bookings quotas, working closely with your team to meet monthly and quarterly targets. Your role will involve developing and managing productivity metrics, coaching your team on how to lead customers through a proactive sales cycle, and building executive relationships with named enterprise accounts.

You will shape the direction of the go-to-market strategy for your region, collaborating with Marketing, Product, and Success teams to create targeted messaging and collateral that meets the specific business needs of your clients. Conducting weekly forecast meetings will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you support your direct reports by participating in client and prospect meetings, engaging other corporate resources as necessary.

What we offer

At Datadog, we value a hybrid workplace that promotes work-life harmony. You will be part of a culture that emphasizes collaboration and creativity, allowing you to thrive in your role. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in the potential of our team members to grow and succeed together. Join us in shaping the future of enterprise sales in the technology sector.
